Well during the IGN stream, if I recall, they stated M$ had to create a Icon for 1-1000 players so maybe 1000.

He is indeed correct, Microsoft said they are working on a new icon for the case, as far as actually details go well as Lance said they aren't releasing a exact number just note Shadow War is 96 players and the over world is going to be extremely larger.
