I think I see the reason people say the world is small and there is nothing to do

Vehicles, watching others play all I see is people racing from one objective to the next, when im at a event i see cars racing by, people arnt even paying attention in there mad rush to there next objective.

personally the world for me feels huge, I dont drive as much and im constantly looking all over for events, there fun, I even solo'd some guy that looked like a giant, was huge, only was able to do that because i did a event that gave me a one time use mini gun, which was awesome.

Anyways i digress, GW2 always said no mounts because they want the world to feel big, this world is big but its racing past people at 100kmh so it feels small.

Few things I think would fix this.
Decrease default vehicle speed of some vehicles like quads, make more of a difference between slow bikes and fast cars.
make the really fast vehicles harder to get and more expensive.
Limit vehicle use maybe make it cost money to spawn it ? have it on a timer?

The point is you need to slow people down a little and maybe make it so they have to walk the 50m to there next objective instead of just pulling out there car, putting a cost to it will make you use it more for long runs like to ark falls or to a new area.

Obviously some might not like this but I think some changes would go a long way to improving it.
also personally i would say remove fast travel, or also make it cost.

I agree with ya, man. It's so easy to just hop on your vehicle and go 1km to the next objective in under five minutes, so people just blaze through the missions and don't stop to really appreciate the game.

A bit late for that. Everyone and their grandmother has a Dodge Challenger already.

Aside from that, the worst part is magical waypoints telling you exactly where to go. Nothing kills exploration/sense of scale faster than knowing exactly where everything is that you need. As opposed to, I don't know, exploring the world and finding out for yourself. (Or asking in chat, it's an MMO after all.) Although given how the poor chat system, lack of difficulty, and shoddy group play are implemented it's hard to remember sometimes that it isn't a single player game.

There are plenty of random events that don't show on the map. Also, this is a sci-fi game. So not having a proper map, especially when you supposedly have an advanced ai (ego) as part of you.

Make vehicles slower? Scrip to spawn in? that's a horrible idea. why would you even consider punishing people who just want to get from point A to point B. The game is in early stages, and to me seems very repetitive. Same activities that spawn, same arkfall whenever it spawns. I'm sure more will be added, but I see why people can say they are bored.

The world doesn't feel small to me in the least. It does feel pretty much like no matter where I go I can expect the same thing when I get out of my challenger. But, such is the nature of the game I suppose. I never understand why games like these don't add in some flavor.. a strip mall with some purchasable in game merchandise, residential areas, pool halls with mini-games i.e. pool, poker tables, darts etc... A place where people could literally hang out in-game gambling or spending their scrip on cheap women and overpriced beer.

I mean the game is great but yeah it feels pretty monogamous. Instead of all these little vendor machines, you could add stuff (see above). I think player vehicle collisions would of been fun as well! Nothing quite as fun as a mid air northbound vs southbound collision to wake you up a little.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have a map. I'm saying we shouldn't have giant markers saying, "Hey, stupid, here are those eggs you're supposed to collect. And these ones. And these ones."

As a Sci-Fi game, shouldn't we be...exploring uncharted territory? I mean granted it's former America but still. Heck, it's even the name of what we're supposed to be - Ark HUNTERS. We don't HUNT anything - it's all right there shoved in our faces.

See people with this kind of attitude are the ones here complaing the game sucks theres nothing to do, well if you played the game and explored you would find all kinds of events and things to do.
But yeah some people just want to race from point a to point b and they will be here in a week complaing they are bored.

I say it's small because compared to how much of the map is darkened, we only get a tiny bit to actually play on. I'm sure the rest will be opened up with DLC and such, but I was a little disappointed. I thought we'd get more map in the game.

the world is kinda small, look at the map zoom all the way out, I bet a lot of people were like me and though that you could go to all those places when you saw the map in the beta.

the world for an mmo is pretty small, it's big for an average shooter I guess.
