Will there be crafting or something like it in Defiance?

I had thought the crafting model was to break down the items you find and could then invest in reassemble / heavy modification of other weapons.

Well that's what I get from the trailers I've seen.

In one of the live streams they said yes, but I believe it's more of a modding system than crafting by how they described it.

The only crafting they have mentioned is the Gunsmithing. Where you can break down a piece of loot for a specific part of it like the acid effect or the scope and apply that to another weapon whenever you want. This was all in the livestream so its not breaking NDA

He also mentioned you can break the entire weapon (all parts) for something else(?) And there's character customization, such as different colors for your armor. (No colors such as bright pink for example though).

Wonder if you can upgrade your vehicles.

EDIT: Yup. You can at least change your vehicles color.

theres no mmo type of resourcing/blueprinting/crafting from what ive seen. I assume its collecting weapon parts as drops and such.
