Nolan & Berlin just don't fit Nolan's established character. The writers have gone off course.

While this season has had some great stuff, it's also been "Defiance: Fanservice Edition." They've been focusing on sex to the point of having encounters that are contrary to logical character development and come across as the writers and producers saying "okay, let's toss in yet another gratuitous sex scene for the neckbeards."

I agree. I actually liked yesterday's episode better than anyone this season, but the ending could've been left out.

I didn't see that at all. I didn't even know they existed. It makes a whole lot more sense when you consider it now.

Both this epsiode and last episode's resolution were poor. The whole wrap up for Doc Ywell was really contrived (Oh I forgot my girlfriend committed suicide essentially in front of me. Silly me)

So, I just looked at the Inside Defiance - Season 2 Episode 6 video, and apparently the Gulanee all see themselves as females, so they all armor themselves up in armor with female features. In how many aspects is the game going to be at odds with the show? You've got E-Rep soldiers not wearing the same uniforms, you've got former-EMC mutants not wearing the same uniforms, you've got Sensoths not having the same bone structure, you've got weapons not being the same, you've got ark hunter gear not being the same, you've got cold fire weapons not functioning the same (cold fire thunderer in the show also can fire a steady stream, like a cold fire flame thrower, not so in the game), and now you've got the Gulanee not being the same. There's not a whole lot of connectivity between the two mediums. Maybe it'd be better if the concept artists for the show were doing the concepts for the game.

I guess you missed the point where they said ALL Gulanee see themselves as female. My point is that this doesn't match up with the game where they are male.

There are some data recorders you can find in game that talk about Dy'Desuko and the environment suit he/she/it is in. It's battle suit was damaged. It was only in its containment container. It contracted with Varus to find some sort of suit it could live in. That environment suit was the best Varus could provide. Dy'Desuko didn't like it, but took what it could get. As an energy being they do not have a voice themselves. The voice comes from a voice modulator in the suit that they can control. So Dy having a male voice is because that what that suit makes it sound like, not that it is male.

Now it would of been nice if the arkbreaks we got with the gulanee in them had the battle armor for their gulanee to control. Unfortunately, the game lives in a state where there is no one on the development team to create new assets. They can only reuse what they have. So instead of getting battle armors like we should of, we got a bunch of Dy'Desuko clones.
