Another interesting thing Destiny has is its leveling system.

Once you reach lvl 20 your guy stops leveling...kinda. Every time you level up after 20 you receive a Mote of Light instead. If you checked out the 'Head Guardian' in the Tower inventory then you saw powerful lvl 20 items that costs 20 or more Motes of Light to buy, and each level up after 20 grants 1.

I cant help but feel that Defiance should of did something like this instead of the threat level scaling it has now. Every time you level up past the cap you get a special currency to use. This would of made leveling up worth something without the need to over power Ark Hunters with progressive leveling and still be able to keep the enemies universally strong against all players without the need for scaling.

Be cool if that Defiance caps at 6000 and every time you level up after that you get a token to put towards something to buy. A level cap is needed sometime or else the threat scaling will be to much to balance. And something will be needed to continue the chase after the cap or else things will slow down to a stop for a lot of players.

I agree. I do admit once the beta ended I wanted more of it. I wanted nothing more then to go back to the cool graphics and relaxing sound track. But once the haziness of Destiny's charm faded it made me appreciate what Defiance has to offer in comparison.
