I am having the same issue and I installed via the Glyph client.

Snib, did the DeadGhost ever get back to you when we were hunting this bug down the first time? Seems silly to keep involving different Dev's in the same problem when it seems we know it is a registry error with a super simple fix. Also seems strange that people with this problem can't find the original threads that I linked together so the fix would be easy to find. Whatever, I guess until Trion finds a way to implement the fix in a patch we just gotta keep pointing people in the right direction. Keep up the good work.
Yes, I had sent him a PM detailing the technical issue behind this bug as well as another, unrelated bug about one particular setting not saving (show nearby EGO), he said he'd try to get a hold of the people responsible for that (Glyph team for the registry bug, another unnamed Defiance dev for the other bug). Start using the Glyph to play.
You can still use Steam to play if you want. You just need to run the registry edit that Snib posted and everything will work.
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
