I've played my fare share of MMOs over the years like EQ, EQ2, WoW, RIFT, SWTOR, & Defi and this is not a new thing to happen on a big patch day that adds new zones to the game. Yes it sucks when you can't play the game but it will be back soon. In the meantime here's how not to be seen when cloaked.

You guys are using PDT timezone right? I from different country so i keep having to find out what time in my country to yours

So I tried downloading the new patch up to my xbox when I got home from work... and my main data for the game was corrupted and I was forced to reinstall the game. Should I be worried about whether or not my character is okay?

Shouldnt your char data be stored on their server rather than in your xbox?

Your character is fine it's saved on Trion servers.

That is the good thing about server based games, the characters are safer than on a local machine. The down side is of course the fact that the servers have to be up to play the game (and now I can compare the timestamp on this comment to the clock time and find out what the time zone is so posts referring to when things are expected to happen in relative time make some sense...).

What RedXVIII said above is true as long as the sever and/or hard drive does not melt down in flames or is otherwise made nonoperational.
