I don't understand the point of having a cap.
I also don't like the fact that they are spending time/resources on such a meaningless thing.
I have to say I had to go out of my comfort zone more than once to reach some pursuits, particularly PVP ones, and there were a few I actually enjoyed when I did them with my clan, but I'll NEVER get those turret kills, so I'm kinda liking the cap

Mixed feelings here (EGO 3212, a whole lot of pursuits done, level grinding is actually one of the last things I'm doing).
On one hand, I'm kind of glad that I can blow off some of the grindier pursuits and still hit the max. I'm also very glad that long-time players who did pursuits that no longer exist won't have a permanent advantage.
On the other hand, who really wants things to be dumbed down? I could see adding things like a badly needed open-world Cerebrus to make its related pursuits a lot more feasible, but this just seems kind of heavy-handed in the forced equalization department.
The cap is a good thing. When gear drops its your ego level. Ask those 5886 people how many other players they have to trade gear too. That was one of the biggest complaints I heard when the cap was lifted. The higher you got in EGO the smaller pool of people you had to trade with.
Fact of the matter is:
1. They are giving free content to everyone
2. They do (regardless of the *****ing and moaning) care about us
3. They released the info on a live stream. No big, I get it, but if they did not care about us then why in the hell would they be giving this free content?

I am at the current level max at 5886, this is complete BS. This was the reward for those of us that worked to complete the pursuits. Greater power with higher levels.
If they cap us at 5900, then I won't need to use all that arkforge to max out my weapons as I progress anymore.
