    The chances for legendary items is much much smaller on the tier 3 lockbox vs the tier 4 (less than 1%), so if you found one grats! Lucky you!

    Could we have proper numbers for each tier? What does much smaller mean? Tier 4 1.5% and tier 3 0.9% ?

    Considering tier 4 costs twice as much as tier 3 while giving 75% of the items the gap between the chances needs to be rather high.

    just open three tier 2 lockboxes and got 5 greens and 1 blue this morning i open a tier 4 lockbox and got 1 orange 2 purples and 1 green now going to save up and open three tier 3 and see what i get

    bought multiple Tier 3 boxes and got blues at most, bought one Tier 4 and got an orange Shotgun, curious if rarity increases with each tier?

    agree, we really need an official post on this. At the moment it appears that there is no beneift to opening anything other than Tier 2 lockboxes due to the cost.

    We need an official post clearly stating what hidden stats are behind the different lockboxes (if any) and a more clear in game description rather than the cut and past text that is presently identical for each lockbox.

    This has already been talked about (I'm too lazy to find all the threads).

    Higher tier boxes have a higher chance for rarer loot.

    Lucky you. I have purchased four T4 so far and only one or two purple and the rest mostly blue. I think I used maybe one or two of these items, the rest was salvaged. EGO level 200+. Next box at 500+ in a few minutes.

    yeah rarity increases with tiers... but... this far T4 boxes have been rather dissapointing - may not be worth investign before ... liek 500 ego or so.

    In fact someone else running this same experiment got their first legendary item from, you guessed it a TIER 3 LOCKBOX and NOT from a tier 4 lockbox!

    I REPEAT TIER THREE LOCKBOXES REWARD LEGENDARIES SO WHAT IS THE POINT IN WASTING METRIC SHTAKO TONS OF KEYS ON TIER 4's?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    How in the name of the golden diapered baby jeebus did this make it through alpha and beta testing?!?!?!?

    Is this working as intended in an attempt to encourage people to dump cash into the game to buy keys to purchase more boxes or has it just been bypassed for the past year of testing?

    The only crafting system, and the main way to get the best loot is broken? Through Alpha AND through beta?

    This is 100% completely unacceptable in any way shape or form.

    This needs serious attention urgently!

    And reading the tooltips on the boxes it mentions NOTHING absolutely NOTHING about having higher chances of better gear through the more expensive boxes.

    TL;DR Buy tier three lockboxes, collect legionaries ???? profit.
    People who are actually qualified to test things like this know about sample sizes. They do not test 5 of each box and expect anything other than a random result.

    A sample size of 5? Imagine doubling that and reducing the potential outcome from the various combinations of rarities and items to just 2 potential outcomes... i.e. the coin toss.

    10 coin tosses wouldn't even be enough to get a reliable 50/50 rate of heads vs. tails.

    If you can't get reliable data with twice the volume of data and significantly less variables, how can you expect to judge the lockboxes based on just 5 tries?
