Do not buy tier 4 lockboxes! Buy tier 3 instead!

I have only bought 4 tier 1 lock boxes and i have already gotten 2 orange weapons and a purple weapon. there is no point of collecting for T2 + if T1 is dropping them.

I have not tried out tier one in any experimental manner and don't know if anyone else has either. If anyone has gotten a legendary from a tier one please post it here.

tier 2 (the cheapest..2 things for 8 keys) have gotten PURPLE from...no orange yet

Edit your first post, the tier 2 lock boxes give loot no different than the tier three of four, and they only cost 8 keys.

Not sure how you managed to skip over that.

So far I have received 11 orange items from tier two boxes including guns, grenades, and shields. Its coming out to a minimum of one orange a day, sometimes more, with tier 2's.

Or else it wouldn't make any sense at all referring to keycode costs. And I'm sure Trion ain't that stupid.

Some of you guys are very lucky i got 1 nade 1 pistol and 2 shotgun orange in about 25+ t4 lockbox.

Much as I respect Trion, they have let a lot of stupid shtako get into Defiance. A dev did say that higher tiers have a higher chance of yielding higher quality loot, but nowhere did he say that it was proportionate to the number of keys spent. If T4 gives 10% more oranges for 250% the key cost, then T3 is still the better option. RNG and lack of clear dev feedback make it difficult to say anything for sure, but from player feedback so far it seems that lower tiers give better return for your keys.

I have bought over 8 tier 4 boxes and not got any items but it takes my script and keys off me lol not sure if anyone else is having this problem ?

I have had this issue twice on the tower place where you drive up on that long ramp. never spent anymore on that box and haven't had an issue after might be coincidence but i dont trust that box. damn scammers

Looking by the high amount of oranges and purples I receive, I could be that the system the devs have in place is broken, or not functioning correctly.

If that's the case then I would cash in now before it gets fixed.

Got my first 2 oranges in tier 3. Not really surprised.

After playing ME3 multiplayer for a long time, an RNG based store is something I'm all too farmiliar with. Been kicked in the nuts but that so many times I'm practically numb down there.

I'm prepared for anything lockboxes throw at me.

You could be right, but random is random. Completely unpredictable.

Your experience may be something totally different to another player.
