Do not buy tier 4 lockboxes! Buy tier 3 instead!

I also hate RNG. I don't care that much, but I still buy a T4 box whenever my keys cap out. I've bought ~5 so far and have gotten all blue and green items... not even a freakin' purple, let alone an orange.

i've yet to see anything other than a blue out of lockboxes, my ego is 600 and i have bought 4 tier 4's and and a few tier 3's, and people are getting purples and oranges?? wtf?

I got a legendary shield out of a tier 3 and it was a respark like I prefer! What luck. but I find now that there are better major arkfall rewards, my keys are best spent on the mod packs. I get almost exclusively class three mods and a full set of synergy mods provides a healthy boost to any weapon! When you get something better just retrieve the mods and scrap the weap

tho some official odds would be appreciated, im sure they are still getting some tweaks

% chance = plausable but made up figures, not the actual stats.

I have bought over 8 tier 4 boxes and not got any items but it takes my script and keys off me lol not sure if anyone else is having this problem ?

Don't know what constitutes a legendary or epic item, but I got my only orange weapon (AR with veteran synergies) from a tier 2 box early in the game. The economics of tier 4 boxes seem broken so I never bother with them.

in case anyone cares, the color coding on the loot which has become the industry standard since diablo gave it to us has been tweaked for most games. Instead of green being a set item and orange being unique it goes like a dis

blue-rare
purple-epic
orange-legendary

I can't wait to see more unique weaps like the gladiator and the EMC XAR-22 those are both staples among my AR arsenal

it does actually give you items, its just a bug where it doesnt display what it gave you, it happens to me about half the time

I've put together a quick form to collect data about the lockboxes. If anyone is interested, the thread is here.

Following Skeety's suggestion, the form is also collecting EGO levels, but I haven't figured out a good way to present that against the data. I'll try figure it out if we get enough data to make it worth doing.
