My turn?

Well, we ran into an issue with the Silicon Valley patch in which servers with the update experienced an infinite queue after only a small number of players joined. We were unable to resolve these queues which appeared once we unlocked the servers. This issue wasn't experienced during testing or on PTS due to insufficient volume of players compared to our live servers.

We're working on applying a change to address the queuing and load issues and we estimate a server update later tonight which will allow players to begin playing Defiance's new Silicon Valley world expansion. The team is all-hands-on-deck to get our service live and I anticipate we'll have an update to share in about an hour.

Pretty easy thing.. use whatever in-house communication system you folks use and ASK someone.

As a Computer Tech, System Admin, and Network Engineer, I know for a fact that I could quickly ask the various departments an ETA and hash together an average based on their overall answers.

Unless, of course, the company does not allow you to communicate with the rest of the departments. If that is the case, ignore this post.

If you are a Sys Admin, tech, and network engineer, you of all people know you don't tell the end user "It's all screwed up, and we're trying to repair the damage done and make everything work again" The normal IT line to the end user is "This is a known issue and we are continuing efforts to remedy the situation. No ETA is available at this time. Thank you for your patience"
