I'm slightly confused about this game.

I was watching some beta footage of the game, and I'm hearing that the game is a Third person MMO. I reserved my copy for Xbox already because I love the idea of having an MMO on Xbox. But some people are saying that its an MMO style world, but you play alone. Does this game have the same concept of WoW where you just jump-in/log-in to the game and you will see other players doing missions and stuff. Or is it the type of game where you can play singleplayer, but you have to like queue up to PvP and PvE with other people.. I really hope its something like WoW or atleast something along the lines of it. There are people trying to make guilds and stuff on the Xbox so, I'm guessing it really is an open-world MMO? This may sound like a dumb question, but there isnt a lot of info about the game out yet and I just need some confirmation. Thanks.

Hard to talk about it cause alot of us are under the NDA. but I can confirm they said it is a true mmo you can choose to play buy yourself and also group up. It is a real MMO and can also play as a party.

i have no idea who said you play alone (ie single player style rpg) that is 100% rubbish. its mmo, you will be playing with a ton of other people, you can play on your own (ie not grouped) but there will be other people around you. the only time you will ever be truly alone is if your running a story or instance solo.

Hmm, I dont exactly get what youre trying to say, yes, you play alone but theres lots lost of group content, PVP and PVE. Also the zones/world itself is very wide and open.

Btw, you dont need to queue for public quest or for shadowars PVP.

I have to be careful because of the NDA, and I am unsure about some of the things with the Xbox version, but from what I have seen It will be a bit of a mix of games Like Mass Effect 2/3 and WOW, meaning you will be in a persistent world with thousands of other players, however because of a few things you will not be competing for mission resources but sharing them. You will have a way to team up, and join guilds with friends. Since you'll be playing the Xbox I think you will be strictly on voice chat, but who knows since no one is testing the Xbox or PS3 clients yet.

The best way to think about Defiance is an open world third person shooter with some elements borrowed from other genres.

We also have coop instances and competitive multiplayer style matches that you can hop in to.
