I found a very easy solution to fix all you guys lag!
Step 1: Quit your job/drop out of school
Step 2: Play Defiance between the hours of 8 AM to 3 PM when majority is not on
Step 3: Enjoy the lag free game.. while it lasts.
No but really, LAG IS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY!

lag issues are alway a problem on release of a mmo, and it's something that is flatout impossible to predict and completely prepare for.
thus far, trion is doing a excellent job of reinforcing the servers. notice all the recent downtime and backend patching
Man it really is frustrating. Getting shot from miles away, through walls & enemy disappearing. I'm really hoping this stuff gets fixed. This can be so good.

For PC I had to tweak my TCP/IP settings. I used speedguide.net, pulled down the TCP/IP optimizer app, reviewed its changes, applied and rebooted. I was getting disconnected at the start of every warmaster and most events with 20 or more players. I haven't been disconnected or seen any lag since. Not sure why I had to do this since I've never had problems before but at least I'm working again.
I love it when there is a Kenn Farm, WM, Shadow War and Monolith going on at the same time because you know somewhere in amongst all this some is going to get some uber lag and rage quite hard about it. From things like running on the spot to guns not shooting or being able to switch weapons and everyone's favourite being booted of the game in the middle of one of these events and coming back on to find out you have lost your score.

That is funny about number 4. A clan member told us about how he did this and then he lagged out of a WM.
All of the rest I have done but I am not moving closer to the server.
I put in a ticket and all of my pings are great, so I guess that rules out your ping theories.
I run what is need to have running and nothing else. I do this for all of my clients since I do this for a living.
I built a fantastic gaming machine with enough of everything to leave most people in the dust. I just put in a video card with three gig and 1300mhz speed.
So you see you can have everything you need at your end but you cannot control what they do at the other end.
I have sent in tickets and played their silly games to see if it is my problems just before they realize it is theirs and reset their servers.
This is the only game I have a problem with and I can list 10 or more of the most current games that do not suffer from this problem.
