What weapons were nerfed to uselessness?
And a lot of this falls under the part of listening to the community for more meaningful drops with rolls and synergies that make more sense to have on certain weapon types. That's going to happen. But why you over look that even though it was mentioned I have no idea.
Now could of it or should of it worked like this in the first place with less trash loot? Yeah. But what other mmo 3rd person shooter was there before this that Trion could of taken cliff notes off of? They started with the same loot system with a majority of crap item drops just like any other mmo before it.
And I agree with infectors being undervalued since there is 2 that make the rest look like crap in comparison. Or how Rockets are all pretty much the same with nothing separating them through stats other then how they operate which makes only a few out off all of them worth while. Same with BMG. And I have no idea why you put Combat shotguns on this list.
The Immunizer comes to mind in terms of nerfed to uselessness, when it was changed from automatic to burst. There are others out there, just don't have the energy to go back and remember them. I put combat shotguns on that list because a Zagger at an arkfall or basically any other PVE event is utterly useless for scoring high. The only place combat shotties seem to be worth anything is for PvP. Mostly I was thinking of the first legendary item I ever pulled, the beautiful VBI PS-30 Slugger. Most useless piece of crap....

I don't blame the actual developers or graphic designers for any of this...is Defiance as visually stunning as Destiny? No. Was that ever a problem for me? Nope. Is this a Destiny vs Defiance thread? Nope.
LOL, this is a Bungie vs Trion Worlds thread, specifically about the way they manage their game based on community feedback. It's simply my hope that Trion Worlds can look at the way successful gaming companies take and apply feedback from their customers without warping the idea and trading their dedicated community for a buck...
It was the Strain Reducer mod that made Infectors fully auto. The Immunizer itself was never full auto. The Full Auto Immunizer because of the Strain Reducer made the other infectors useless in comparison. So what have you? One gun that makes a whole weapon class useless except for 1 or do something to tone that 1 down to help bring the others up to speed? Ppl think the Canker is OPed, a Full Auto Immunizer was unrivaled.
And as far as the Strain Reducer going from making Infectors to full auto to being a x1.10 fire rate never made the Immunizer useless as it has double the range when compared to other infectors. It is good at what it does but not to over powered in doing it.
And not every gun is made to score the highest at Ark Falls. Just because Combat shotguns don't excel at those events doesn't mean they are useless. That could be said about so many weapon types when comparing their use in events, just because they are not good at one doesn't make them a over all bust.
It's not some magical curse they incurred by nerfing the favorite weapon of some gypsy. To reiterate what I said earlier, it's bad management that brought them low, and consequently led to their money problems (and rumors of bankruptcy).
