Yeah, my younger brother ran out and bought an SSD for his PS3 thinking that DCUO would perform much better... but in the end, it still didn't run as well as it does when played on the PS4.

You are asking if the Playstation is wireless for the internet? No it is plugged in by a cable. The Wii is wifi.

I must have picked out a good router, because I don't disconnect nearly as often as I've heard from others.

Lag - yes. Massive disconnects - no.

About every half hour. If I jump around a lot or there is a big fight it can happen sooner. Or i get invisible people or no map shows up. Then I know there will be a disconnect. We play other games online and don't have this problem.

Bottom line is, the PS3 just can't handle running those kinds of games (MMOs). I used to see the same kind of craziness happen when I used to play DCUO on that over sized paperweight. As it stands right now, as far as performance goes, the PS3 is probably one of the worst consoles I've ever owned.

That is how the game is coded, not your connection.
If it wasn't it wouldn't be so predictable, about 30 mins and its inviso enemy time.
If it was ONLY your connection you would be on for 2 hours, then 10 min, 20min, 4hrs, 37min, 18min, 1.5hr before a disconnect. You would have one constant to your disconnects if it was your connection - the times would NEVER be consistent.

I don't think the game cleans up used memory when it is no longer needed and eventually the consoles, both, run out of memory as it is filled with crap. The time is pretty consistent because so is the rate of generated crap in the memory and the amount of memory is a fixed amount.
