I just want to say that input that I laid out is what 'can be' done. Those are the Ark Forge numbers that I pull and can do. Now Im a level 5866. Ive been playing since day 1. I know the ins and out on how to get resources easy. I know a lot of things I never mention.

But besides that I love video games that lay out hard choices. Getting rid of some of my guns was actually a fun process because I had to evaluate my inventory and pick and choose in what I was going to spend my AF resources on. But for a lot of other ppl that's a kick in the balls.

I enjoyed when the War Master was brought into the game and was wrecking everyone.

I liked when Expert Maps were introduced and enemies like Mutant Rifle men had 8x Armor plates and could gun players down in a couple of shots and to me it was awesome. Things that are simple now like The Piercer boss was hell when Expert maps arrived. I had to tell my group mates to equip perks like Self Medicated, Combat Medic, and One For All and real team work felt to be needed for once. And to me it was awesome. Real choices with real effects.

Or how I laid out a whole thread post on how to be able to defeat duel Hulkers easy. Or how to easily defeat the 4 Bulwarks at the end of Commander Cronkite or how to defeat the 2 Forges at the end of Scrapworks. But then Trion went back and toned it all down.

Now Im not saying they read my strategy posts on how to defeat these things but they very well could have and said "This is want needs to be done in detail on how to go about doing these things? Well that just seems like to much for the average player. Not everyone is awesome like Nefarious. We should tone all this down. If he is in his glory then it must be to hard for everyone else.". Ok maybe not.. probably. But my post is just a different outlook from the other side of the fence that not many look from. That's it.

Im not saying this is the absolute truth on how it should be. Im basing a lot of whats going on now being connected to future content and it panning out as a whole. But for the time being this is it and I just laid out in detail on what 'could be' done and how to look at it to do it. Just like when everyone else was saying the Duel Hulkers were to hard I laid out on what 'could be' done for them.

Drops and drop rates seem to have been tweeked a bit, seeing more non-junk stuff, so to speak, since the last patch. Things will settle out.

With the lootdrops that rare (and even if you remove crap synergie/stats) the "fulfilling chase" is killed. You wont hunt for OJ because its all RNG. You wont upgrade because it's too expensive. And I certainly WONT go to the cashshop. It's flawed.

Why would you bother grinding to find the specific unencrypted weapon to reroll bonusses or synergies? You aren't able to keep up the EGO or upgrade rarity as is. Removing the crap synergies/stats will only increase not using the tradeskill process.

Seeing as Tryin didnt bring out a new season pass, that opinion isnt shared. Instead they went F2P and released the new landmass and vendors as is, which is comparable to content in a lot of DLC's we've seen. Even Tryin saw they had to change that.

By grinding AF in just 1 specific game mode? Half the content released isnt being played because it's not worth doing. After the nerf that changed to 90%. I am not saying its impossible, I am saying it's a grind to do so. The reward nerf did just that.

It is what made the game interesting for higher EGO players. If new players should choose to play till 5-6k EGO (not sure why they would now), they will bound to have multiple weapons in their inventory. Saying they should just delete most of it is rubbish.

It's not about grinding. If you give players back variety, they wont mind doing the different content. Just not with the crap rewards that are given and with only 1 game mode keeping the normal rewards in place. That's what the issue here. Rewards arent decent.

If you turn back the clock to "use what drops" then yes, I do want enough scrip to be able to buy a weapon from other players, while still have some reserve to buy a lockbox. Because I know im not going to spend 1m on it if I dont have the scrip.

Completely ignoring they nerfed AF on ALL game events/T2/T3 lockboxes and it takes 10x more effort to get a T4 lockbox now. RNG crap wont stimulate players in buying boxes from itemshop. It will make them leave to play the other D game.

All content was just fine for vets with old rewards because they could tinker with weapons they had. TL is a bit messed up but it gave them a reason to play. You think vets give a shtako about grinding 300 grid pursuits?

A game like PSO2 runs perfectly as a F2P and Defiance can do that too. Diversity in offered items for lower prices and it might be an idea to make social tradable. Either way it seems we agree on microtransactions fail.

(For the ease of discussing purposes I am leaving out if the WM timer was indeed correct or not.)

Bullshtako. You don't roll out a big change without communicating the landmarks of the phases. What happend now with the nerfs is just half@ssed. Even if it was counter against arkfall boss farms, its done poorly.

I did, in a post from almost a month ago (aside from all the input and suggestions us vets have been trying to provide for well over the course of a year now, grasshopper):
    http://forums.defiance.com/showthrea...t-Full-of-Bits

Plus what Alastar said. The problem with Defiance is that there is no in game progression in terms of the content. Enemies get harder the further you go into the game, but the only reason that weapons get better is because one's EGO is getting higher. That of course is nullified at max EGO. There is too much RNG and not enough fulfillment in the chase. In typical RPGs, one knows which boss drops what loot that one is seeking. Not so here. Get extremely lucky enough to kill the Warmaster and you are not guaranteed to be rewarded anything of value - and certainly not anything that is any better than killing any other monster out in the world. In games like Guild Wars and SWTOR I know playing a certain piece of content will net me the opportunity to get a certain piece of loot (at drops rates that are exponentially better than the RNG rates we have here). That makes for a fulfilling chase.

The only fulfilling chase we had here was being able to grind out arkforge to be able to upgrade our favorite weapons from whatever base rarity all the way up to Orange. To me, being able to work on and "personalize" a weapon I am using in game is the most fulfilling prospect of the game - and it was ripped away from us for no other reason than to force the playerbase into buying lockboxes.

The only thing that annoys me about this thread is that Trion will see it and think it's majority view again. They needed to fix the horrible stats and weapons in the loot table before nerfing all the rewards. If the rewards were fixed first or at the same time maybe the rewards nerf wouldn't be so bad. As it is right now it takes entirely too much time to find anything decent, the ROI for my time just isn't there and it's depressing.

Something tells me that when Nef is the last player left in this dying game, he'll still find a way to congratulate Trion on a job well done.

Nefarious picked a very appropriate username IMO.

To me he will always be that user who publicly reveled in griefing afk players at fast travel points.
