This just blows my mind, because in the end, everyone wants a paycheck. If they make a crappy game and people leave, the paychecks will stop coming. You would think that would be incentive enough to fix the problem. It doesn't take much to hire someone and get it fixed. If the game rocks, people will come, they will buy in game crap and then the devs get paid. If it blows, people leave and the game goes under. I know that the devs know this but it seems like something more is going on. I have been wondering the last few days if the game is going under and they are just biding their time and milking out everyone's pockets before it does.
Tonight it was the first time ever I couldn't do ANYTHING in game. 12-13 tries over 2 hours and 12-13 times I get into something like a siege/co-op/arkfall/incursion within a minute I am seeing moon-walking players and enemies just standing there occasionally twitching or swinging at nothing. Couldn't do a single daily. NONE.
Scrap everything back to the reward nerf patch and start over Trion. You blew your game up.
Yea it's brutal. I've played this game on and off since it came out and never ever had lag issues like I've seen in the past week or so. I get about a good 5 minutes and then everything stops working. Mobs run in place, players run in place and stop shooting, etc. It doesn't matter if I'm around other players or alone it still happens.
Would it be possible to turn up the tickrate on the server a little please.
I think last night it got tweaked and the server rebooted.
Since then I have been desyncing in most combats. (Perhaps even all combats).
I understand it is difficult to tweak the server for optimum performance with ever changing player loads.
On the plus side I haven't had a total freeze for a many days now. Instead it just stops drawing the other players and monsters. I can't see them, but they are still fighting away. I can see little green numbers where I am healing invisible people. And from time to time they get redrawn again, like at the end of a fight.
I prefer this to a to frozen players/AI of course, but it isn't an enjoyable experience still. Just a different flavour of lag if you get what I mean.
Either I am getting the mother of all packetlosses... or I suspect the tickrate has been reduced to allow the CPU to accommodate more players/AI without lagging.
If tickrate... please tweak again for me. Add a few more ticks for me if you would be so kind..
