havent played in a day but last time i was on. the world was sad and empty. all but the duzzen or so clanys runing around doing there own solo thing . its sad but the games going bit by bit. every ones showin up for code day. witch are runing out soon and no one wants to play hard core anymore. sigh: i miss my clan. i miss my friends. its so lonely soloing everything

Best thing to do , turn Defiance into a Single player game, at least won't be connection and lag issues since we pretty much are playing solo anyways these days.

Oh, and Tremer above me in this thread was one of those 3 online.

After playing tonight and lagging out of almost every event I tried, I'm very close to hanging it up. I have no motivation to do arkfalls and either lag out or finish and only get minimal reward. I was never one to accuse Trion of intentionally killing this game, but after the "DEATH PATCH", I truly believe this is what they are doing. There is no way they thought this would help a already struggling game. If they needed bit sales, they would of cut prices in the bit store. A lot of players have said they would buy outfits and other items if the prices weren't so frigging high. I have played since the beta and loved every minute of if until Trick Derpsy ruined it. It started with the "Vocal Minority" comment. The game hasn't been the same since.

One of the reasons it fells so empty is that players are so spread out both across the map and across shards. This is how it looked like when I just logged in to PC EU:



3 majors in the final stage at the same time. There were 2 more majors up, 2 Incursions, and Kenn Farm was being run, too. And all that just on that one shard. If there were less events to consolidate players into them it would feel much more alive (until you inevitably lag out and get disconnected, of course).

I definitely agree with you on that. I think maybe their thought was to have more events going to alleviate lag or something but instead it dilutes the population. It is wonderful that there are so many things to be doing, but I do think it would be in all our interests to force us toward the same major Arkfalls together. I think it would even out in terms of time for us too: We ask go do it and complete it together and fast and then another one soon drops.
I know I am saying this now, but I also know I am very thankful that the Mt Tam incursion came back due to the change of event scheduling when it had been missing for so long. I do love the Mutant Swarm at Serenity Academy. But maybe just limit one major Arkfall at a time per shard.
But big events should feel big and crowded... that's what made Defiance feel special, honestly.
