Prob would have been a good idea to wait a week to claim your bonuses...
I couldn't somehow trion knew I pre ordered it and upon leaving the starting area I had all the items in the claim area and the timers were counting down. I then put in my code to get the challenger/outfits and titles again which didn't do anything when claiming them a second time.
you silly shtako, you agreed to the terms of use every time you logged on, and when your purchased the disc, those terms of use include the fact that trion can deny you use of said game, can keep you disc for all they want, what wrong with you bro, don't you know what a legally binding contract is?
quit complaining, this is NORMAL for a mmo,
MMO's been there and done that so save the @!(#%)!@#.
No, OP has it right....
From a company that has previous experience with MMO's , and with BETA testing (was there really a stress test?), the problems should not be a frequent as they have been. it wasn't terrible for me on launch (few disconnects, or not being able to connect), but tonight it was entirely unplayable. it's DAY 2 TRION, get yer act together!
Failing removing heads from the 5th point of contact, some bonus XP time and some free bits are in order for the more than patient players. Then again, they can do nothing... that always speaks volumes about a company and their support.
NO, this is NOT normal for a mature MMO... get yer facts straight.
Do you know what a period is? First off, I never said that they had a legal obligation now did I? Did I demand reimbursement? Did I scream and insult your oh so precious company? No? then sit down and chew on your bone. Good dog. And you are right, they can deny use of their game, but that isn't what they are doing. Denying use is them telling someone they are no longer allowed to use their service. This is a failure on their end to maintain server stability, and it has nothing to do with legality, it has to do with keeping your customers happy. And word of advice, that post makes it very clear you know nothing about law, you probably shouldn't get in to an argument with someone who does.
You are right, this is normal for an MMO, in fact it's a relatively decent launch all things considered. That in no way shape or form impacts the fact that if people spend money on something they expect to get to use it, and if they don't they are going to be upset. It's simply smart business for Trion to take the high-road to keep people happy. Do they have to? No. Will they? I say I think they will, because it's the right thing to do, and they are a good company.
