You are thinking that you need to buy a new xbox, but you can just purchase a thumb drive that is suggested by Microsoft. Amazon has a ton of them that are 9-20 dollars. Here is a post from Microsoft on the subject: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/storage or more specific model info on their forum: http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/g...7/1921617.aspx

I personally got a PNY thumb drive from Amazon for cheap just so I could make space for this game.

really?? how do you game with the 4g? a couple of arcade games will fill that up. the 4 gb is how Microsoft got you,not this game. always go with the bigger harddrive bundle. don't make the mistake on the new xbox console.

I highly doubt this single game will fill 32gb of my flash drive considering I have other MMO's on my PC (WoW, GW2, SWTOR) that have been out and have content already out for them and are still under 32gb. As of now, Defiance is taking up under 10gb of my flash drive.

And as far as the 4gb console goes, I remember when they were first coming out they were specifically aimed at people who didn't game that much or for "casuals". So no one is generalizing, they're just saying the words Microsoft actually said themselves.

yes you can, you take the top cover off the xbox (not invalidating any warranties, its a button release system), buy the official Xbox 360 slim hard drive (comes in various sizes ranging from 20Gb up to 320Gb), put said hard drive into the slot under the aforementioned top cover, load up xbox, format your new hard drive, and continue on your merry little way through the game, its honestly the simplest thing that microsoft have ever come up with.

yes you have to buy a hard drive, but in the long run as you said with DLC and patches etc, it will be more than worth it, especially with other games that also have patches etc. on top of the arcade games you can purchase on the XBLM, your gaming experiences will be greatly improved through that small purchase.

i know all this and i play on a PS3 if i know about the hard drive installation on a xbox, an xbox owner should.

Especially being a game of this magnitude.

I think you need to realize that the game is essentially an MMO with free-roaming world, much like borderlands or skyrim in certain aspects. If you have never played an MMO before than it may be new to you but the first "M" stands for MASSIVE... In a game with a free-roam world that is an MMO your system wether 360, PS3, or PC is going to need a lot of hard drive space to play the game. The only reason why borderlands and skyrim didnt make you install the game data is because they weren't MMO's. You can also buy a USB adapter cable that you plug in your old 360 HD to and bingo.

What you are trying to get at is that you want to blame Trion for something that MANY MANY other games require as well. BF3 takes up a TON of space just with the game updates, and even more with the actual DLC. Don't blame a company for the fact that you don't want to pony up the money to afford more storage space on a device that makes it quite clear that having a hard drive is recommended. You might as well go blame Fast Food places for making people fat.

The complaint does not need to be addressed with what you can buy additional to remedy the problem. The OP is complaining that in order to play the specific game you need to have additional storage space which the baseline Xbox 360 S does not carry. With that being said the complaint CAN be addressed with the fact that the system requirements are stated on the box/case as well as on the Defiance website as seen here, http://www.defiance.com/en/buy-now/xbox-360/ . With the fact that the Baseline Xbox 360 S comes with 4 gigabytes of storage and doesn't even come with a hard drive coupled with the fact that on the box AND the website it states that 10 GB of storage is required makes your complaint and/or argument null and void. I will provide another example which may appear clearer. If you were to buy the game Dance Central 3, for example, on the box it would state "Requires an Xbox 360 console and Kinect sensor for gameplay" meaning in order for you to play it you will need both an Xbox 360 console AND a Kinect sensor for gameplay. ie: if you do not have a Kinect sensor and an Xbox 360 console you will NOT be able to play it. If the 10 GB REQUIREMENT was not on your box/case or it was not listed from the retailer that you purchased it from then that is a different story. If it wasn't on the box/case then that would be a ploy from Microsoft to make more money and if it wasn't listed from the vendor you purchased it from then it would be another ploy to make more money by that retailer(Amazon, Bestbuy, Gamestop, Walmart). So pointing fingers at Trion is both incorrect and ignorant. The End.

The game does not cost more then it says. It says 10gb is needed, if you only have a 4gb hard drive, then well, you can't blame the game because you A) can't read, and B) bought it anyway.

and I wouldn't try running the game off a USB drive, while they work fine for holding game saves and moving data from one box to another, they do not have the bandwidth necessary to properly run the game.

I think we can all agree on the fact that the OP has no idea what he's talking about
