Yeah lagging out again. It was really bad about 2 weeks ago (for 2 days I attempted maybe 10-12 events, and only completed 1 arkfall, and 2 emergencies)...then it got a little better, but the last 2 days or so I've lagged out of maybe half the major arkfalls I tried. The only difference now is that when my weapon swaps, ego power etc stop responding, and the mobs move in place, the other players still move around for a while. The other difference now is that once this all starts happening, rather then getting disconnected and being able to log back in to do something else, I stay lagged out, and can't bring up a menu, extract, etc, so I can't actually leave and come back. I will occasionally update (weapon swaps 4-5 minutes after hit the key, or some mobs suddenly die), but I'm essentially finished at that point, since the whole event has progressed on without me.
I can't extract, fast travel, or even bring up the game menu to quit....and the game won't even disconnect me at that point so I can log back in and do something else. If I leave to go play something else on my other computer I'll eventually get a very small reward when the event finally finishes without me...almost nothing since the lag will occur within the first minute of engaging in combat. Once the reward pops up when the event finishes without me, I can finally play normally again.
i've noticed a few things on PS3:
-when i first boot up the game it takes like 3-4 seconds to even view my character before i select it.
-it takes about 3-5 seconds to load a co-op mission. i'll be there at the start but the mission doesn't start up right away.
-at random times the hub will not display for about 2-3 seconds.
-and the big one, at random times the game will disconnect from the server.
lately thought the server booting has gotten less then it was a week ago, keep up the good work guys!
For the past 3~4 days i've been getting disconected from the game while I was in a major ark fall, or doing incursion runs, and it's extremely annoying.
Last night (this morning) both the Trion website, forum and game went totally dark around 3 AM Eastern time
all other internet services, games, websites, emails were working, so I know it's not my own internet conection
Don't know what changed but after todays afternoon reset, lag is back with a vengeance.

As posted here, we (along with other games/services) have been hit with a DDOS attack. This is NOT the only cause of the issues being reported, but its certainly exacerbating it today/last night.
In addition to whats in this thread, I'm still interested in feedback from people, especially the tracert requests in the first post of this thread. I've only received a very small number of reports via PM.

Excluding this morning DDOS attack,
The past couple of weeks, has been sporadic, I'll randomly get disconnected from the server
but if log out, then re-log in, then i can continue just fine (not exiting the game completely)
I noticed heavy lags before the new servers, when lots of people joins an Arcfall or an Incursion run.
Now with the new servers, the incursion and arcfall runs smooth overall, but as your 1st post mentioned, sometimes, nothing happens for a good 5 sec before it updates again, then pauses, and happens again, but this only happens randomly
as random as my sudden disconnections because, usually when those micro pauses happens, i usually get kicked out of the server after like the 3rd or 5th times it happens, then it gives me a "server critical error message" pop up back at the character selection screen, with the option to try to connect again, or exit.
forgot exact message, next time i get that i'll post a screenshot
that's when i simply just log out, and then log back in, as it goes back to normal for a long while until it starts to happens again.
Thanks guys, both those tracerts are helpful. The engineers are looking at them now.
