    Hi Silverbaer!

    I live nearby in Massillon.

Was looking over your traces, the drops at the RR CPE and the RR TBONE aren't really effecting your packets. Those are only the trace step ICMP requests. Often those packet replies are dropped for expedience or to keep the router from having to buffer requests. TWC does this very often at the CPE side, for various reasons. Your packets are getting through, but there is some higher latency at times at the final two hops. In pingplotter in the view option(or try right clicking in the trace area) turn on Min, Max, and ERR reporting. Also change the trace delay (polling interval) to 1 second, if not already set. We'll get a better overall picture of what is happening. Though I can see some of that from the latency graph in the upper right. I think the CPE you are on got an overhaul recently, new equipment, lines, etc.

My ISP recently switched from using the RR backbone to sprint on its route to Trion. I've seen some improvement overall, but still some issues on Trion's side. I know you don't have that choice being a TWC customer, well maybe if your were in Wadsworth. Its interesting that the rr tbone is now linking to the comcast tbone, guess that is if the merger/takeover happens. Though I heard that NEO is going to be sold to Charter Communications once that happens.

Just want to add my own PingPlotter chart so you guys at Trion can look at it and draw your conclusions.

One thing is certain: the spike at around 16:44 made me lag out of the game during the progenitor encounter phase of a Progenitor Major Arkfall in San Francisco (I was disconnected after a few minutes with a critical timeout error).

It was great for me up to this week. Last three days, I really cannot play at all. Every single day, every single time I try to play I lag out. Haven't been able to complete an event since last week.

logged in on a better network card and that seem not to correct the lag that happens as soon as i got to Kenn farm event at 252 pm est lagged out.

    Additional info

Might as well throw in some additional ping plotter and WinMTR results:

IP was picked up from netstat -a after connecting to the game, results are during play.
Experienced both types of lag mentioned in the first post.
Some players moved around without issue, others and mobs did not update correctly.
Experienced a period of time where I could not shoot, swap weapons, nor reload.

Home network is Gigabit, internet provider is Time Warner Cable/RoadRunner on their 50Mb/5Mb package, Glyph is pointed at the North America server group.

    lag

So ya like the thread says latency issues at every event, inc, af, wm, sw, seiges. I'm not one to complain alot but this is getting bad and I didn't see anything in patch notes to address it if it is even being addressed as an issue. I run an elite system and I see its not the isp because each has had a different provider, myself being the wonderful world of comcast. Drop a line and let us know whats up please.

Is anyone in the north-east Midwest going through Comcast and seeing routing changes at their ecermak.il.ibone.comcast.net location? Recently, I've been having connection issues *without* being an an event, but also have been seeing a citrix connection dropping constantly. Prior to Friday, my pingplotter was clean, and the only times I had lag/disconnects were during large events. I had been suspecting not internet connection but rather something in the session these past few months (since starting).

the latency in this game now is horrid. no matter what fight im in mobs stop i cant change weapons or reload. at times the mobs stop and players can run around next thing im dead. today ive timed out twice so far with in 10mins. what ever you have done has done no good. it is worst now than ive ever seen it. my isp is TWC in kentucky. if it doesnt improve im going to have to drop it and find something else that is playable. ive been playing since the game came online.

I did not have problems with lag much until a few weeks ago, then suddenly I started getting dumped at events and lately even just regular things like missions and dailies on NA-PC. EU-PC was ok until this week though it is not anywhere near as bad (NA is unplayable during busy hours between freezes, weapon swap malfunctions, and dumps averaging every ten minutes).

I was having horrid lag almost all the time. I've been going back and forth with my service provider AT&T about the latency I get on their servers. They hope sending me another 2Wire modem will make me go away but that is a false hope.

Here is an example of what I see connecting to the Trion server @ 208.94.27.1:

I decided to try something that is used by many serious FPS and MOBA players. I signed up for the 30 day free trail at www.WTFast.com. They are a gaming orientated VPN service. Since I've been using WTFast, I see almost no lag in game and have had only one DC (and everyone was DC'd). Do I like that I have to use a 3rd party to get a decent connection? Of course not but until I can ATT to do something, this is the only thing I've found so far that has made an improvement to my gaming.
