Why has my ego rating stopped?!?!?

Hello All,

I have been playing Defiance since it began. I am not a new comer by any sense and actually do know quit a bit about the game. With that said, I seem to of hit a "roof" with my EGO rating. This part is important; I do not get to play that often or nearly as much as I would like to, (which is why im only AT eo 4,229) but I have slowly made progress since the game was released. I have literally been playing since the beginning; man that makes me feel old. Anyhow, im sitting at EGO rating 4,229. I know we can go a lot higher, well not a lot but over EGO 5,500. Bottom line is that it does not matter what I do I cannot get my EGO rating to go up at all. Am I missing something? Is there something going on that is affecting this? I am loyal and I do have some bad *** weapons. I have no problem helping others who help me.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated. Perhaps a new friendship or alliance could result.

You have hit the XP cap by all likelyhood. The only way to get higher ego now is to do pursuits. Goto your inventory, switch to the purstuits and contracts tab, then check what hasnt been greyed out (i.e. completed). That should take you up close to ego 5900 (and beyond depending what episode missions from season one you had done before they were taken down). A large portion of your pursuits will be PVP, and leveling weapons to 20.

Ego rating is made up of three parts:
XP rating cap,
Pursuits (ranging from kills at arkfalls, to pvp)
Weapons and Vehicle levels (i.e. runners, rollers, and cerberus).

Once you earn enough exp to completely fill the ego grid, you can no longer gain ego with exp. After that it has to come from pursuits, weapon leveling, etc etc.

I'm in the same situation HFreak, I maxed out ego units as well and have been doing pursuits and weapon leveling (hate leveling the sawed offs) to level up. I am at 4900ish now. Working my way slowly to the 5000s.

Who said they were taken down? All missions are available, excluding episode 2 missions (The Vagabond) which strangely disappered for me two months ago. Actually I completed episode 3 & 4 storylines just several days ago. And I have opened a ticket about episode 2 to see why it was removed or glitched.

With the nature of the level cap and changes to the game. Has anyone ever seen a stage 10 Volge swarm completed since the threat level and advancement changes?

I'm just musing but loud here, but maybe some pursuits are nigh impossible now and the level cap is a myth to new players.

The driving pursuits are frustrating now, too. Some of them basically never fail to have at least one arkfall spawned spang in the middle of the course. With the new dynamic spawning, even if you abandon the run, clear the arkfall, then try again, another one spawns somewhere on the course, if not in the exact same spawn point. It's easy enough to just drive around them and still get a Silver, but they can make getting a Gold impossible.

^^^ this right here. I did a bunch of stage 10's when they first dropped, but the pursuit was bugged the first week, haven't seen one since, and I do 2-3 daily. my inner completionist isn't happy.
is there one particular area that's best to do it? maybe if people who needed it focused on that particular one

I have neither done a lvl10 swarm nor killed a Warmaster, but that has nothing to do with the level cap and everything with dwindling player numbers getting spread out across the map by too many simultaneous events.

The few players you see around are low EGO players nowhere near any cap.
