For sure that explains the Warmaster, but my observation of stage ten swarms is that there are just too many bullet sponges for any group to cut down. At least any group that would allow the game's fragile servers to stay up. Maybe if every single player was absolutely coordinated with the right nano effects on weapons and spikes coordinated could make it possible.

Again not an issue of level cap. The bullet sponge issue is due to the threat level scaling where a low EGO player can't do shtako. At 5.5k EGO where I am currently at the TL10 Volge die easily enough and I can shrug off a hit or two from a bomber barrage, too, but all the low EGO guys just fall over dead as soon as a Volge just looks in their general direction.

No, no. I agree with you. It's not that I think it's an issue of level cap, I think it's an issue for getting to the level cap. I mean that the out of whack difficulty scaling makes certain tasks you require for attaining the level cap virtually impossible.

Oh alright, hadn't understood you like that. And I agree with you as far as those tasks go, but there's not that many, most things can be done solo. However, this is an MMO and game mechanics promoting solo play over group play are not exactly attractive to the target audience.

In fact I'm sure that the bad scaling is turning quite a bunch of players away from the game, too. I know I've seen threads about that on the steam forums, and it was my #1 hate issue about the game besides the lag, too, and the reason why I concentrated on getting my EGO up as quickly as possible.

The original Season 1 pursuit listings worth 35 EGO rating are gone. We only have Season 1 replay.

Does the XP cap kick in at a certain amount of XP earned, or a certain EGO rating reached?

I.E. What if I complete all the pursuits first? Can I then level all the way to max just with XP?

If I understand it correctly, you can get 4000 EGO levels with XP and the rest have to come from Pursuits. It's not a vertical arrangement, you can almost think of it as two separate pools of XP.

Certain amount of XP earned. Yes you can, but completing all the pursuits can be... sanity testing.

An easy indicator to follow for this is when you've earned enough EGO points to unlock and upgrade all of the Perks.

Agreed, some of those Pursuits make my eye twitch... lol

I have to admit that doing those pursuits made me do things I would normally never bother with in a game. I had a lot of fun doing some of them.
