Cant accept/decline tutorial missions?

Hey everyone.

So I wanted to play this with the missus but she is having major problems, when she gets on the tutorial and tries to accept the mission with the X button...nothing happens but she cannot decline the mission either.

Well she has created new characters and each one is doing the same. Also her character walks forward on its own.

Any ideas of a fix? Seen various problems but no solution.

Ask her if she can jump with her character, see if her X is working, and walkn foward by itself, her left analog might be a lil worn out, my old controller did that, was hectic on like menu with it scrolling by itself.. lol.. If non the above helps, sorry..
