Nope, 100 friends on PC, the UI doesn't throw an error if you try to add more (admittedly there are much more high priorities than this) but you can click add add add add and it won't add anything above 100. Thus the reason many of us do weekly cleaning of our friends lists (delete anyone who hasn't logged in in 30 days) to keep some overhead.

I think you're misunderstanding a few things when it comes to the map. It doesn't require an additional collision mesh, because that IS the actual map. If it's designed as one large object for the base (or sometimes broken into chunks), it doesn't need anything additional. The engine is told that "map" is a collision object, and processes it accordingly when sometimes impacts it through the physics engine. You don't need to first draw a map, then trace the map to show where the ground is; the engine does it automatically.

While yes, adding maps, or other assets does increase the size of the asset package, it doesn't increase it on the order of gigabytes. A new map the scale of our current main map (using existing assets) would not double the size of the game, because it would just spawn existing assets into memory.

When you generate a level during development, you do not need to include a model for every individual enemy, store, chest, etc, just one of each type, which is then spawned into memory when the level is drawn or that particular cell is streamed through the engine. It will obviously make the download/install larger, but not massive to the point of causing serious issues.
before silicon valley the download size was 13.72 gigs .. I just checked how big it is on my hard drive after the silicon valley expansion, now it is 14.8 gigs , max size for consoles is 15 gigs.
If you are talking about adding an additional map, in which we are talking about, the point of this conversation, its not going to happen, they are pushed to the limits of there limitation.
This game already has some very serious issues.. not sure how long you have been around , but I have 4741 hours playing this game, and until those issues are addressed and fixed, I probably will not be back to play the game.

Should probably call up Bungie and let them know, since their latest big 360 release requires 20gb to install.

Talk to Trion not me .. 15 gigs is there limitation on there game size .. that's at least what they have stated in the past. Who knows, maybe to keep you happy they will get new Microsoft , Sony contracts/licensees to increase there game sizes in the console space.

Got a source on that? How about a quote regarding the 100 friend list maximum because of the same install limit as well.

I'm not going to watch twitch streams for hours just to prove something to you .. these are common known trivial things on the forum here. Do the research yourself. And I believe the 15 gig limit is on the Sony PlayStation, they make one package for PC, X-Box, and the PlayStation.

if it's "commonly known" then it should be pretty easy to find someone else mentioning it somewhere. If such a limit existed, it would not be trivial as there would be less than 200mb of space left to work with.
