So Trion made the game f2p to attract more players. Cool! I just started playing a few days ago and then found out that nerfed everything and increased prices for key codes. Now they want us to pay an arm and a leg for something we cant personally own? Nice business scheme(scam). How the hell are companies going to populate their game when they drive them away instantly? Stupid greedy company is stupid. If things were not so damned expensive, I wouldn't mind forking over a couple dollars on bits. I quit playing already because there is no hope for new players.

Umm... you can buy keycodes with in game resources... and just doing a couple of sieges etc, I've earn more then enough to buy the tier 4 lockbox daily.

You have to figure if they are playing free to play which means they can only hold 50 keys so in order to get a tier 4 they would have to have 49 and then somehow get 15 more keys from one event to get the 64 to be able to purchase a tier 4 lock box.

You have to see it from the new players perspective and in order to get 75 key cap like the players that bought the game they would have to spend the bits which means paying the overpriced fee for those bits.

I'm on xbox 360 and it hasn't gone f2p yet but when it does there will be some more cases like the op where people will play the game once and then won't want to play it ever again.

Also, I'm not sure if the prices of the *very optional* lockboxes necessarily cost "an arm and a leg," especially since, like GrizBe said, you can obtain most of the boxes by completing some events for scrip and keys, without spending a dime.

a legit new player wouldn't know before and after.

they would have accepted things just as is now, since they just started.
