whats the point of having them separate... reloading the grenade launcher whiel yo uhave active grenades on ground is OP - and for the rocket launchers the time between shooting and detonation is short.

If you let people reload GL.. they will lay out a massive minefields...

One way I found to circumvent this mechanic is to fire -> detonate -> roll. Rolling does cancel the reload side affect, while also getting yourself out of the way of incoming fire, allowing you to drop extra payloads into the area.

That's interesting. Thanks for the tip. I was doing that with the rocket launcher that fires 3 rockets at once (to avoid blowing myself up when enemies rush me or wasting one).

Easy fix for the devs to implement - first time you tap R detonates bombs, if you don't have any bombs out the next time you hit R you start reloading.

Also, way too many people don't understand the OPs issue. If you don't understand what he's talking about, don't post.

This whole thread has been nothing but people putting words in my mouth. Who said anything about being able to reload while grenades are out? I said in a previous post that I'd be fine with it still being bound to the R key, but that if you have active grenades out, you can ONLY detonate. Only when you have none active can you reload. Fire grenade, detonate with R, grenade is no longer deployed, press R to reload. Or any other setup other than what it is.

Was it? I suppose you spoke directly to a dev? It's not like there's dozens of other poorly implemented/buggy aspects to the game that have been reported so far. You just assume it's working as intended. I'm guessing the mechanic was designed for single shot weapons, like the rocket launcher that can be manually detonated to fire 4 mini projectiles, but they failed to factor in weapons with larger clip sizes. I'm not going to argue the point any further with you though, since you're presenting your opinion as fact.

Exactly what I suggested. Thanks (no, that's not sarcasm).

I'm with Philote and Jack on this. If it has been done on purpose, as some here are claiming, then I hope they revisit it.
