lol the fact that i dont know who he is, is becuse he has done nothing worth notice in the gameing world that, i my self have cared to take note of.

you seem to think that for some reason not knowing a none note worthy ubesoft employee seems to matter. true the guys got a higher education then most here. but beyond his study of only 40,000 people ever servayed. he has done nothing that i find note worthy at all.

Nick Yee is an expert on demographics not just game demographics his studies are some of the best in the industry. The entertainment association also supports his findings and publish their own info based on the sales demographics they collect.
So claim the experts are wrong all you want and keep believing what you want but that is not Knowledge nor is it standing on your own ideas it is lack of knowledge and ability to learn.

There is no need for a scholars understanding to grasp that a real expert in the field of social demographics says you are flat out wrong.

Nick Yee is an American researcher who studies self-representation and social interaction in virtual environments. Yee earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Haverford College (with a concentration in computer science) and received his Ph.D. in communication from Stanford University in 2007. He is a research scientist at the Palo Alto Research Center in California.

The Daedalus Project, his research into the psychology and sociology of MMORPGs, has collected survey data from over 40,000 game players. The research that has resulted from these interviews has been cited extensively by game scholars, game developers, and popular media. Anyone with a basic understanding of statistics will recognize the flaws in the Daedalus Project's data. First of all the sample data is skewed because it was all acquired using a single method, response to surveys. Second of all, the size of the sample is insignificant. The conclusions draw by Mr. Yee are highly suspect.

You provided multiple links, of which all but two pointed to places that drew their data from the Daedalus Project. One link or 50, it doesn't matter if their information all came from the same place. The two other links pointed to the ESA's site, and the ESA does not confine itself to just MMO games, so their information isn't relevant to the discussion.

For that matter, the ESA doesn't give any indication of how their statistics were derived, which makes them no better than any given person's personal opinion.
