Yeah, that was a doozy.
So, this person invited me to a clan and then sent a friend request and I thought, "Woot! A clan and a e-friend who plays Defiance!" Psh.
After accepting the clan invite, as well as the friend request, I played a little more of Defiance until I decided to sign off for the evening, and then the next day I turned everything on and was going to play Defiance when I noticed that I had a message from the new friend, and in this message this.. person.. was irate and said that he, I presume it was a he, was very agitated.
Being the gullible fool that I am, I asked the obvious question of, "..Why?" and that's when everything went the way of doom and gloom! This person was apparently, severely, upset because: Someone on the Internet, Defiance specifically, refused to e-date him. He even said that he wasn't "afraid to suicide," so after trying to be nice at first and reading the most stark, depressing responses that I've ever seen in my life, I had finally had enough and told him that, whether he was trolling or not, I was done with the discussion and wished him the best. Moments later, a flurry of messages bombarded my message box like an aircraft dropping Napalm, each message was, "Ur rude," because apparently, wishing someone the best is rude, and "Ur rong" because, apparently saying that, "Not everyone on the Interweb is looking for romance in video games," is.. you know.. wrong.
So, after all of that I removed the fellow and removed myself from the clan immediately after.
I've since been invited to another clan, but the individuals in this clan seem less like Rob Zombie movie characters and more like people of some kind of normalcy, or at least what little normalcy there is for those of us who play video games.![]()

So in truth, I really didn't even think before accepting the clan and friend invite on Defiance.

I made it this far with little to no help, and I've successfully completed the Mount Tam and Madera pursuits! I'm now working on Marin.
