Hellbug superboss finally about to die after a half hour of brakka-brakka-brakka-pew-pew-pew and server explodes. You maniacs! You blew it all up!

Not sure if that should offend me.
I've been waiting days for my patcher to download, crawling along at a 0.04 MB/s, there are heaps of threads full of people saying the same thing (as you can see by this thread http://forums.defiance.com/showthrea...ease-read-here!). Then just as I'm about to finish, a new patch comes out and the entire download of 12 GB starts again.
I admit these issues appear small and insignificant for someone currently enjoying the game without problems, but they cause a prodigious level of stress for the people they effect. I can't abide a person who rages and abuses the company or other people, but nor can I agree with someone who defends an idea like a zealot. We all could be a little more open minded and softer of tongue.

"Servers totally unprepared for launch" is quite correct. Many of the problems could have been circumvented by small and inventive ideas. i.e. Allowing people to pre-install the game or providing a better patch system which would not force some people to download more than 20GB of data at ridiculously slow speeds.

That been said, I have played games since my very first computer, a **** Smith system 80 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_Genie), and I'm yet to see one in the last 10 years which has been ready for launch day.

Then why are you surprised and unprepared for this event? *cough*

That said I came home on launch day, installed and patched around 3pm EST in about 40 minutes, not on a T1 or anything just Comcast Cable (10 MBps). So I don't know if this is entirely a patch server problem.
