Or they are trying to make the other blink first. It is part of the reason we don't have the cross platform. I wonder if we did a petition to the companies would they considered the cross platform again? Of course it might have to wait till after launch.

In the meantime, i'd strongly recommend the PC over the consoles simply because people are fickle. You would have the strongest chance of a decent player base with the PC version. PC players TEND to be more forgiving then those who primarily play consoles who tend to be a little more critical. At least that is my impression based on reviews of games on the net but that is only my opinion and probably a little biased (I only have a PC).

Then you are probably not aware of how irritating and young most console players are on voice chat... I'm going with console, but I expect to be putting up with a lot of rude 10 y/os.

Sony has set a conference for February 20 in which the PS4 is likely to be unveiled. From what I've read Microsoft will likely have their own before E3. As for when these consoles release...it will be in the Fall, either this year or 2014. Frankly I hope its the latter. I'm still enjoying playing games on my 360 and I still have 15 games on my shelf I haven't even popped in.

Have they released the size of the maps yet? 10,000 per server doesnt mean there isnt 2000 instances. Not knocking the game, just see a lot of information given by the community that seems more out of hope then fact. Huge isn't a size, its an opinion.

This really isn't the place to post that but most info is under NDA and hasn't been allowed to be spoken about. only what they tell us.

not only that but a new console coming out doesnt mean the end of the previous one immediately.. the previous console still lives and gets GOOD games for at least 2 years after its new counterpart launches and in some cases the previous console outsells the new one for a year after it launches... a) the economy sucks so not too many ppl will have the money to buy a new console day 1 and b) old consoles are still good.. if a game is good youll keep playing it regardless of what its on...

for example the Wii U came out in November... 3 months later how many ppl are still playing Wiis? and Wii still has a few good games coming out for it... XSEED for example just announced a US release of Pandora's Tower for Sept 20013.. a full 10 months after the Wii U has been out.

Heck I played my PS2 up until 2010... a full 4 years after PS3 had been out.. mainly because of final fantasy XIV.... so yeah ppl releasing games on a "old" console when its predecessor is a few months away its certain doom.

Just because they announce something doesn't mean it's right around the corner. When a system is making money they don't want to stop that or at least I hope not lol.

Wii U is doing horrible I seriously think Nintendo might just go purely Hand held if it keeps up.

Is there even confirmed next gen console games yet? GTA 5, Elder Scroll Online, Battlefield 4, next CoD at least all arent. As far I know Diablo 3 is gonna be for current consoles as well. Not to mention Half Life 3 on Valve's Steam Box is gonna be megahit. Could be just me but next gen consoles are off for a rough start.

no confirmations yet, but we know some are indevelopments. COD last year looked for someone who "wants to work with next gen tech"
