Yeah I really think it will hurt PS3 bad if they don't follow suit. Microsoft is horrible at inventing anything. But what they excel at is taking people's ideas and making them better.

if sony does follow suit theyre just gonna remove it 3 years later.. so why bother?

True but it did start a gold rush for the last of the back wards compatible Ps3's. I played Ps2 alot but because of Halo I stuck with Xbox. I'll be honest I really don't think Sony understands its customers.
