I really doubt developers wanna gamble so big as they dont even know how many units next gen consoles sell. So lets say big games coming later this year means current consoles just sells more.

Trion World's problem is marketting, man good trailer should get 2 mill youtube hits, they suck so bad. WTF. Maybe they should use Blur Studio like EA/Bethesda does. Also I think SOE used as well with Planetside 2.

I'm assuming at least one person has brought it up, but if not: When FFXI came out on the PS2 and PC, it was later rereleased for the 360. So for Defiance, I would assume the game is either backward compatible on the new consoles, or it is rereleased some time after the new consoles launch like FFXI was. In either case, I don't see it being too difficult to continue support for the game on the new consoles (whenever they do come out).

There's always the chance SyFy channel gets stupid and cancels the show after one season....that could easily kill the game for some people.

What i have read is Doom 4 i next systm and Darksouls 2 is comeing out on both gen Diablo 3 wont come out unitl after add on but thats just rumor about diablo but they pretty much stopped makeing stuff for the first xbox like 3 months after 360 came out

I think the regular xbox was shut down quicker than most consoles for a few good reasons... It was kind of crappy and expenssive. I have some great old xbox games, but I didn't bother getting them until I found out they'd work on 360. When it was current gen, I didn't bother. Speaking of which, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth has a special place in my dark corrupted heart.

umm dark souls 2 has been confirmed as a ps3 and 360 title so unless its comes out for ps3, 360 AND the next gen consoles as well.. but it snot next gen only

I was just talking to my friend about what we think will happen to games that come out on xbox 360 this year because of the next console is supposed to come out probally by the end of the year. Most games seem to only last a year but Defiance can and should be around for many years. So it does make me wonder what they will end up doing but we probally wont know till a new console is offically announced.
