    introductions are in order!

hello, i am cypheon, and as i've said in a previous post, i, unfortunately, will be game-less until friday, april 12th, when i can finish paying for my copy of defiance (first of the month launch day? really? i gots bills, man!).

until then, i'll be here, lamenting my lack of gaming, and attempting to be either helpful, or frustrating, in randomly chosen posts. though i expect this to drop off the first page within a few hours, i figured a proper hello never hurt anyone.

unless you're trying to wave to a guy staring at you through a sniper scope, then you're just asking for it anyway.

Hey, I'm Gromph. I'm the guy selling your pre-order after holding it for 48 hours as is company policy.

ps: might be better off waiting till the 12th as far as current state of the game goes.

actually i've already spoken to the store, and company policy is after i've put money towards it (only still owe 40 on collectors edition), they can't give it away unless i cancel it. however... it -used- to be policy... back when world of warcraft launched... while i was on vacation... i got a lovely call saying "we sold your copy, new shipment will be here in 3 weeks if you can come pick it up then, or we can move your pre-order money onto a different game"

that was more than mildly frustrating as i was standing in a gamestop 2000 miles from home when gamestop called to tell me that. and they wouldn't bounce the funds to the other store so i could pick it up on the spot.

The official policy is 48 hour hold, it is actually printed on the receipt if you wanna check. Managers can choose to uphold a different ruling though, we hold up to a month because we a run a low volume store. Anyways I was just giving you a hard time.

anyway... i'm really wishing trion did a trial account option so i could hop in and learn the game while i wait for my full access to be available...
