    Pretty awful launch so far...

The game looks and feels like it was never tested, at least on PC not sure how the console guys are doing. Honestly I was wondering why the beta's were so short, and was praying they were just older released versions but this launch is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, the fundamentals of the game I love, and I am planning on sticking this game out, but my god does it need a lot of work fast. I just really don't want to see this become a dead game within the first week. I can't even tell customers positive things about it when they come in and ask during its freaking launch week.

Things that should have been sorted out before launch
    • a grouping system that actually works, and allows ease of phasing in with group mates on world map
    • a communication system that is easy to read, and use during co-op events
    • Either a working VOIP that doesnt destroy the game, or no VOIP. (Honestly no VOIP would have been the intelligent choice here)
    • Working queue systems, or some sort of server merging (ie:waiting 4 hours for Shadow War on launch day isn't ideal)
    • Loot on Arkfalls, without it they are honestly incredibly boring after the first run through.
    • working pre-order bonus codes/items (you have no idea how many angry customers I have been getting due to this)
    • a Character creation that actually seems to have options besides making a military man or Kevin Bacon.

There is a lot more wrong and buggy with the game, but without fundamentals like these it's just going to turn people away. It's not acceptable to release an unpolished game anymore, not when theres so much polished competition for the consumer to go to. Honestly all I'm seeing is this game bleeding market share, and it's for such silly reasons. Again I really like the game at it's core, it's just really difficult to enjoy right now, and it's impossible to recommend it to anyone. Anyways, I'm sure (I hope) the dev's are aware of this. I assume the only reason the game was even released in this state was the T.V show tie in pressured them into an April release.

tl;dr game is borked, plz fix

Just about everything you have posted has been posted before and is being looked at I dont see the point of you not useing a search function.

As for the preorder thing well if people would read how to use the code properly and what to do if it doesnt work wouldnt be a issue.

They're already the best source of multiple resources, including one that converts directly to loot drops. Loot wouldn't hurt, but isn't really necessary.

Uhm... what? They do work -- or, at least the ones I got from Steam and the Arkfall codes did. Could you explain what you're talking about?

Erm... again, no idea what you're talking about. It's not the most in-depth customization tool I've seen for an MMO, but at least on the female human side, I could've made my character look like all sorts of different things.

Obligatory use the search function post. Phew thank god I almost forgot where I was.

About half of the pre-order codes people are getting no in game rewards, another chunk are only getting a select few. For example I only received half of my steam pre-order bonus items. It's just a hodgepodge of you either get everything, nothing, or sample.

Yes there are problems but i'm positive they'll be sorted out, the game was clearly a console port but now that it's released i hope they'll make the game a little easier on PC users.

Yet, you didn't make use of it?

Agreed on this one. It's been very frustrating, and you can never tell when you can or can not join a party member.

Either a working VOIP that doesnt destroy the game, or no VOIP. (Honestly no VOIP would have been the intelligent choice here)
Also agree. And I wish there was a way to mute it without hurting the game. =/

I'm not sure about this one. I've had almost instant-que times for each Co-Op instance. I think people might be holding back on Shadow Wars just because it's so early in the game's life. I could be wrong, however, as I have no experience with PVP so far.

Loot on Arkfalls, without it they are honestly incredibly boring after the first run through.
Loot would be nice, but not necessity. They already give you 5-10 keys per run (which is less than 20 minutes, plus any additional key fragments from fighting), which gives you easier access to lockboxes. I think they're more intended for end-game grinding than anything else.

working pre-order bonus codes/items (you have no idea how many angry customers I have been getting due to this)
My appologies, I have had only positive experience here. All my codes were entered before the launch even happened. But as another posted said - we were both Steam Pre-Orders. Perhaps major retailers are having more trouble, or perhaps people don't understand you have to go to Item Claim for the item.

a Character creation that actually seems to have options besides making a military man or Kevin Bacon.
XD I enjoyed my character creation, but it is indeed very limited. This, however, is because I came from PSU-JP, where I had my long, green haired bishi. :3

    QUICK-EDIT:

As far as this being a horrible launch, I feel you are horribly off on the mark with this one. This game has had one of THE smoothest launches I've ever seen. There have been stable servers, to the point that we even got a 3-hour early launch unannounced. Do you remember Star Wars: The Old Republics launch? When they weren't crashing, there were constant que's.

Remember Sim City? No one was able to get on for the longest times. And that wasn't even an MMO!

Remember Rift: Storm Legion? It was plauged with a high influx of people at the start that created server instability.

I'm wondering how WoW did with Cata/Mists, but I stopped after Lich King, so I wouldn't know there.
