    Teleporting to a moving vehicle is not as easy as it sounds. Right now I suspect that "go to friend" looks up the friend and gets their position as a static set of numbers then initiates transfer. Unfortunately that transfer takes a certain amount of time and someone in a vehicle would be traversing instances or zones or whatever which would probably require starting again each time.

    Notice the little messages that say "you are now bound to ...." that occur on fast travel or teleport? From what I have heard the game world is not completely monolithic, it is actually spread across the blades in a server stack that are all virtualized into one "server"; it makes a nice seamless experience when traveling overland (compare it to the incredibly rough transition driving between sims on Second Life for instance) but it is not as easy keeping a setup like that all working together as it looks on the surface. I suspect that the vehicle repo bug probably happens at zone edges more than in the middle of zones because of the kind of juggling that goes on there.

    thats all very hypocthetically but, there could be another step to put the player in the car of the friend / clanmember after loading the instance zone phase blade in the server rack or whatever. Unless youre an incognito Trion DEV. We can speculate forever

    Kinda sorta. Go to friend does just put you at Xish meters from the last known location. Little different when spawning into a vehicle. Often, characters in vehicles aren't considered separate objects, they actually become part of the same object even if you can see pieces of them in the drivers seat. Porting into a moving should just marge your character position with that object, and reset the camera to that position.

    I should add, if you aren't aware, you currently CAN spawn into a cerberus within PvP.

    Interesting theory on the vehicle repo bug. That in combination with the latency "trick" of predictive motion would make a lot of sense, basically crossing the threshold resets any predictive motion that's being used to cover high latency, and the last bit of data didn't have you in a vehicle so it drops you out of it. This could also be part of a method to cover a potential cheat mechanic that I suspect exploits the vehicle mechanics as a speed hack.

    I believe you are correct about the split across "blades", though it may be more defined that that, some blades hosting multiple shards of the same area, and making it scale dynamically to enhance performance when the majority of players are all in zone X. I love me some server topology and design

    so my two cents.

    Rarely been a passenger, or had one outside of PvP. Everyone has vehicles, and fast vehicles, and most are durable enough to not be an issue when running from events during majors or invasions. There's really no reason to use them, and it's kind of unfortunate.

    How can we fix this? During an event like this, why not add a score bonus (with a cap) based on amount of time you're driving with someone else, with a bonus per person that everyone gets?

    Or maybe a general speed increase based on how many are in the vehicle?

    Razor rain arkfalls, where if we're not in a vehicle when it happens, we take damage.

    The hit damage has been nerfed alreada by a lot! And i do like the current car hit dmg.

    Maybe but it would be the same like it is now with snipers sitting in a remote position, trying to get the lasthit on Hulkers etc ..

    I agree that there are many bugs and i see Trion working on fixing them wich i like very much.
    But we should not be in the defensive here fearing more bugx and laags.
    After all were paying customers!
    Let's try again since you are clueless to the issue.

    To those in the Cerberus, they see where the cerberus is. But to others the guy that should be in the Cerberus turret is just floating in place and easy to kill. That is why the Cerberus gunners die even when nobody is near the Cerberus.

    Also not everybody in game is a paying customer. Some choose to stick to free stuff, since it is now F2P.

    Atticus Batman thanks for pointing that out.
    I have played my 50hours + in competative now and its still good fun. But i havent seen those issues lateley.
    Granted i did not play in 2013 where those bugs were discussed.
    They might have just been fixed by now

    they still exist. You just never noticed them, probably because vehicles now blow up too quick since their health and shields dont scale with the threat level, and nobody bothers using the vehicle related perk to make them more durable.
