i just got 3 and a quarter million on my last arkfall, second place was 600 000 lol, but yea what someone else said about always hitting criticals from the first minor until the Major. It also helps to find a private minor arkfall when theres still a few on the map, people always go to the marked one so sometimes theres a ripe one for you.
For weapons I recommend an lmg, they don't always have a high dmg output but the fire rate and mag size are great for arkfalls. A nice trick for overcharge is to use it at the end of your mag since it reloads, nothing revolutionary here no one didn't know probably, but happy arkhunting.

    Use lmg and overcharge...
4.6mil is my highest with this.. nearly 2.5-3m higher then second.
critical spots only with weak archers and skitterlings.

Use 100% lmg ammo then hit overcharge auto reload with more damage.

Also, last phase monarchs try and be the tank... and hit crit spots roll out of damage. Attack hellion buttom tail and be the tank here again for max damage. learn to roll

    Close. Everything, but the hellbugs.

Now...I understand that they were probably there when it first started, etc...but what weapons could these folks be using?

Just looking for tips -- I know it is possible because I have seen it on the results screens.
I've been first a number of times and there a few factors that go into it, some have already been mentioned. It's a bit lame but when I'm looking to finish high in damage done I focus on attacking things that take more damage, for example hellbug warriors take a less damage per hit than archers. People already mentioned trying to crit a lot, I have a specifc loadout with overcharge and damage friendly perks. Make sure to move around while you are firing so you always picking up dropped ammo. Always be attacking something and be looking around to attack the next thing. Depending on the Arkfall type, use approiate weapons for the situation, I find assult guns to be the most verstile however some situations you will be better off using a sinper rifle or shotgun or a grenade launcher.

    That's about it.

If one person is downed, and three people try to revive him, but you were the first to start the revive, you will get the 'count' of the revive (and it will only count as one on your pursuit), but it will show up on the score board as 3 (as there was 3 people doing it)

It gets funny when 20 people are reviving the one person and you are the one who started it, you can get some crazy numbers.

As for getting high scores, if you have two SAW LMG and the perk which automaticly reloads the secondary weapon, you can fire endless (no reload) and with nearby ammo locates (and ammo dropped by non boss mobs) its easy to have almost unlimited ammo and almost non stop firing of your weapon, and if your trying for the crit spots all the time, you can get some crazy high numbers.

It's even funnier when you are half way through the revive then they pop their self revive.

If someone is downed but not moving, I do not try to revive as they will most likely self revive, but it they are crawling, I run up. If I have a self revive but someone is trying to revive me, its rude to self revive, but still I guess they may have lag and not see me trying to help

I've done it with SMGs, LMGs and assault rifles, no overcharge, being there from the beginning and focusing on crit points.

People are still recommending lmgs over the wolfhound? Clearly I need to post more.

    Its simple.

You use 2 Saws, Preparedness Perk, and Scavenger Perk, with Overcharge Power. Make sure to hit a few of the skitterlings or whatever other mob is out there and you'll pick up enough ammo to never need a crate or need to reload. Have fun
