Lol actually I purchased the Xbox just days before this game was
Released . It's brand spanking new 250 gig hd spring bundle 2013
    Edition.

If this game was cross platform I would have purchased the PC
Version and my PC is top tier. However the majority of my friends
Don't have great PC but do have. Xbox so I went with that.

So hmm I'm sure it's not due to my ip as I don't experience lag
Often when on PC. But if other Xbox users are able to see all
Other players in a generally occupied area as individuals and
Not default clones then maybe the issue will indeed be fixed.

Also all the ark falls I experienced were around or over 100
Players. Perhaps that contributed to the frame drop.

Anyone else experience any frame tearing? As the Xbox doesn't
    Utilize v-synch? Perhaps I got a lemon of a new Xbox ?

Ty it was nice to read but not pertaining to my specific issues other than the
Lag part and server crash part. I doesn't seem to me that lag is the core of
The issue with my Xbox problem. Perhaps an older model Xbox would work
    Better for me?

How long have the ppl with none of the problems I've experienced owned thier Xbox ?

I've had my share of problems over the past two days. The patch download was horrible. It took so long that I kept getting booted from Xbox Live 'cause I didn't want to sit there and babysit it. Then once I got on, I could only play for an hour before they had a server update. Today I popped it in, started playing, and had major issues with the Sniper's Ridge mission. But from what I've seen, a lot of other people have as well. Figured out a way through that though. Ever since, the game has worked very well for me. My net isn't always the best, and can be pretty bad at times, but I experienced no lag. And when I participated in an arkfall with 13 other players, I didn't experience any problems there either. No lag, no framerate problems, nothing. It was just a whole heck of a lot of fun.

My only complaints at this point are that there is no animation for getting in the Challenger, and collision detection around it is pretty bad. But those are very minor issues that can be addressed a month from now. There are far more important bugs to take care of first. I just hope that these early problems don't get reflected in the reviews it gets, because all in all, it's a very good game. I'll definitely be keeping my copy.

What they need to do is set up separate servers/world for people to join and log on. Or else by another server to handle the high traffic and volume. It's meant to be a mmorpg, but it's only been 2 days we shall see how they handle this.

right now this game is unplayable. I know that they are trying their hardest but its not good enough. They had to rush this game out because of the tv shows schedule and the game wasnt ready for launch. hence the 45 min patch after a 30 minute install.

it's a hardware issue.. pop in a copy of Battle for Middle Earth.. one of xbox's first RTS.. if you have any more than 5 units moving on the map at a time, you or the enemy, the console will lock up and reboot/catch fire. (an RTS is actually a great way to test certain capabilities of a gaming machine)

its ok.. in 2005 when it launched, it had an 87.4% failure rate.. today.. after years of failure, bad media, 3rd party shops opening to make money off of consumers for repairs, several houses burnt down and even lives lost, it now has a really good failure rate of only 54.7%...... (ahem.. MORE THAN HALF).. yeah...

sure, it has 3 procs.. running HT as 6 virtual cores.. but the actual clocked speed when operational is less than 1.6ghz.. my phone does better with 4 actual cores...
    Antec skeleton Frame, 3960x @4.8Ghz, 32Gigs DDR3@2400Mhz, dual GTX690's in quad sli, 1440p@1khz refresh rate, 70"x3.

Quick update , so day 2 for me and did a few arkfalls everything was
Running w smoothly today. Up to 50 players it was fine all the character
Models were there no frame drop till over 50 players I'd say.

It ran great until more than 50 were in the are. The. I started seeing
Some of the default models and some screen tearing and dropped to
An average of maybe 10- 20 fps . This is a good sign.

I guess many of you we're lucky enough to avoid the 100+ player
Mob areas on release day? O.0
