Patch Notes

There are some very vague notes in the server status sub-forum.

But it would be very nice if there were some very thorough patch notes in the patcher that you can read while you update. Not everyone checks the forums and it would be a nice way to disseminate information to the masses and show people the work you are doing the fix some of the issues at hand.

And it's the logical thing to do!

Please be detailed and thorough! No stealth nerfs or changes. This is our game now just as much as it is yours. Being open with the players goes a long way and helps us leave better feedback.

No stealth nerf changes have taken place. Any change has been posted in the Server update threads.

You know the giant box above that loading bar right, it says : 'Welcome to Defiance' and also has a picture of an ad above it? I have a feeling they may utilize this to inform you about the most recent updates, etc.

Harsh, but true. And I think he meant that they should have already listed the small bug and connection issues they had.

I have to agree... there have been a couple of small patches that have been downloaded by the launcher, but there have been no notes in the launcher as to what was being patched thus far.

I agree. This is common thing in most mmo's. Inform us where we look the most. The launcher.

Not everyone is interested in searching through the forums, but most of them is interested in having the changes handed to them.

Its like when you subscribe to something they send emails out to the user. You dont subscribe to something and have to search around to find your subscribed thingies. Get it?

First off thanks for the reply.

I'm not making any accusations here, just a request.

As an example "- Detonator Tuning" was one of the notes. More specific details in cases like these and others can help players identify and differentiate between intentional changes versus new bugs that were caused by the patch. If notes are vague the developers intentions can become unclear which can lead to problems.

I understand there are priorities that probably need more attention right now than the patch notes and getting them on the patcher, it's just something I don't want to see forgotten or become the norm to have very little detail in the notes.
