Hello Defiance forums,

I had this game pre ordered and all and had it since day one before getting rid of it after the first DLC dropped. I see it is now f2p and wanted some opinions on if it's worth the storage space to download. I have the season pass and all still i believe as well.

What has changed now that it is f2p and what happens to the people like myself that owned the game prior to the f2p transition?

Things took a bad turn earlier this year prompting me to take a break but since I got back in October I've mostly seen positive trends.

That auto salvage feature sounds troubling.. that would mean that anything i had in my claims is now going to be gone along with the things that veteran players are suppose to get?

yes and no. if ur going to be useing an old toon then yes. if your going to be useing a new freash created toon that you make the day you log back in and download then no.

the old toon will have lost everything by now ecxsept consomabuls such as backpack slots or charicter changes and things like that. all weapons would be gone all gernades would be gone. all stems and spikes would be gone. so. ur only loseing things that would be used in game not stuff that would boost invitory space or. things that can boost score or xp and such.

id make a freash toon anyway. unless ur old one was max ego. well max ego for back then. of the 5k

up to you realy if you want to play agine the game over all is still fun. things may of changed faces may of disappeared. but thats to be exspected from any game thats F2P all in all the game is still worth playing if your willing to play.

download it. give it a go see if you like it if not. delete and move on. no harm no fowl

I didn't think the timers kicked in until you 1st logged in after they were implemented, that's certainly how they spun it when they introduced the timers, so there's a pretty good chance your items will still be in claims, unless they made another stealth change

i had a toon on pts that i was useing for testing earlyer in the games develipment shortly after release od DLC2 i never picked up anything or got any of the rewards for any of the other DLCs becuse i stoped playing for a short time affter that due to some issues of my own that i couldnt control. anyway. came back to the game and got onto pts loged in after puting in the code that gave all DLC content 2 weeks earlyer. once i loged into pts after the 2 weeks without ever loging mind you sence DLC 2 i loaded up the toon and as soon as i loged on all weapons that where in my claims where scraped.

so it does happen.

makeing a clean new toon youll have everything there wating . the old one might. i wouldnt take the gamble. the timers run weather your loged in or not so.

I would also hazard a guess that all your gear is pre patch to so you'll be looking to upgrade your gear to.

Like was said. Your best bet is to start over since you quit so early.

99% of your inventory is going to be useless as they are missing a roll. Your oj's will be inferior to some blues and most purples. Your grenades {if you had any} will be safe, but altered.

If you don't start over, one saving grace is the "upgrade rarity" whereas, you can now upgrade a purple to an orange provided you have the arkforge{new currency} to do so. However, it would be senseless to do this to any of your existing weapons, as they will still be missing a roll.

Most of his gear will (most likely) only be 75% of his current level, since back then gear ego didn't matter so people carried gear because they liked it and didn't pay attention to gear levels. Now the higher ego level of the gear, the better. So try to keep it within 100 levels of your ego.
