Best way to obtain Legendary Weapons?

how do you know which is a major arkbreak? i know a major arkfail is the big red circle and I've also been in 1 arkbreak but i have no idea how i found it. Also, how do you know what a major event is? like, old faithful is a big yellow circle, which, for some reason, i never get anything for completing them. On the icons list, on the map, it doesn't show what symbols are for major events. I've also noticed, the only major events I've found, were in silicon valley. Is that true?


i learned a lot by myself because i haved played rift since its release, but some things i am just a little confused on. like, even buying mods for my gun, i rarely find shops to by them at.

Major arkfalls, and incursions are all major events. Arkbreaks are listed as arkfall sites on the map. Silcon valley's incursions take um most of silicon valley, but all incursions are a major event, and if you finish the whole incursion you are rewarded with a 7th legion weapon (because incursions are 7th legion events)

As for guns that is a different subject, since I assume you are talking about synergies.

There are 3 kinds of synergies:
1: Mod synergies (like rolling thunder) will have 4 bonuses listed and all mods added will need the same synergy as the gun for those bonuses

2: weapon (backpack bonuses, like Veteran) will have one bonus listed and requires 2 guns with that synergy be equipped in the same loadout

3: weapon/shield synergy (also called backpack by players, like 7th leg unity and Firewall) will have either 2 bonuses (Unity) or 3 bonuses (all other weap/shield syns) and you will need 2 weapons and a shield with that synergy equipped in the same loadout to get the bonuses.
