Syfy should definitely use it's own channel as well as WWE programming to get to a lot of viewers. WWE averages about 3-4 million viewers A week

Despite the pretend nature of the 'sport', I almost wonder how many actual SciFi fans actually watch that.
Then again, it's probably not much different than the jousting, etc.. at the local ren faire, and I imagine there are quite a few SciFi fans that go to those, even if they don't admit it.
On a side note... WWE is actually creating their own television network. It's why all these extra shows have popped up recently with all of the online podcasts as well. So I'm sure the SyFy crowd wont have to endure much longer.
That said and still on a side note... it still bothers me that they changed the name to SyFy. It's so silly and stupid it drives me nuts. I absolutely hate leet talk and people purposefully misspelling words to look cool. For a network that already has some SILLY movies and shows (that look like 3rd grade CGI), you'd think they want to portray themselves as more serious.
30 sec ad during the game wa 3.5 mil.
"Ego sum vindictam, Ego sum violentia, Ego sum absolutionem."
Well I'm guessing that $3.5 million ad was worth it. Considering at least 40% of the country probably saw it, they made a good decision to do that.
I watched the game and did not see any defiance ads.
i meant "a" ad in general cost 3.5 mil for 30 sec, i didnt mean there was a defiance ad during the game.
