I just managed to log in without a problem.

Yup, I have no problem logging in, no problem updating and can log in.... but when connecting to the in game server, just keeps saying No Go...

Great idea...but it takes me just as long to log in as it does to check the thread...i think it would be a better idea for trion to post messages in the patches window to notify us if the server will be down and how long approximated.

Then are one of the lucky ones I and many others are still having difficulties getting into the game. But enjoy the game before it either crashes or does an update (:

Wait, they have different servers for PC/PS3/Xbox360, and NA/EU, right? Maybe the problem is that you didn't specify which one was down.

That is actually a pretty good idea maybe set it to where it says "Critical" make a message box stating the servers status along as the timer as you stated before, almost like a mini queue.

Little off topic, but another thing that would be nice would be something like xbox ambassadors for the forums. Just a way to somewhat police the threads to get rid of some that go way out of line.
