PC Server down?

They can't really let us know when it's unexpected,
My look/overview of it is that the servers actually crashed this isn't maintenance and it happens in the development of software considering they're probably using an engine they're not used to "Havok" I could see that happening.

If their coding principles were better this wouldn't have happened in the first place but meh mediocre devs who know how to code but not properly this is programming for you, all enterprise developers are like this.

So at this point staff are sleeping and no one is on to check the server, I really think they should hire some international staff or something to resolve issues like this quicker considering they're getting players from all around the world.

It's not fair to the international players that they can't live chat with people and such like the US players can.

They are using an in house engine. It isnt peak hours so a server crash is unlikely, possible! but unlikely. Maybe a server cache dump? either way to me it points more to a purposeful shutdown.

The Server isn't down here in eu, perhaps the login servers but I can still play, so I don't think it crashed but again.. I haven't seen a single soul online besides me.. So it becomes boring

The servers have been down for hours now and it's starting to piss me off, especially because there's been ****-all news about it.

May be dumb question, but whenever I've logged into the game at no time was I ever given a "server selection" part of logging in I've seen with other MMOs. Which I thought was weird, I just assumed some how they managed to get everyone on the one server... or something.

How can you tell what server you are on?

The server status forum says they were planning an update last night at 7:15pm PDT, but it's now 5:15am PDT and the freaking thing is down. I don't know if it was down this whole time, but I'm a little miffed because I like to get an hour in before I have to hustle the family out the door for the day. :P

Click on settings in the launcher, it lets you select the server from there.

Aah, thanks! So it's just North America or Europe. Just 2 of them.

This is a pain and huge lack of communication. The locked thread in support says Xbox 360 Servers coming back online..so how long until PC? 1st it was a PC Patch with no downtime, but it seems like a huge amount of downtime.
