Issue for people with multiple users on one xbox.

Anyone else see them double downloading each patch, 1 of each of them for both users. Because I logged off to let my brother play after playing for a bit, he logs to his gamertag, it prompts him to install, (which went by quick cause it already was) and download 2 patches, both of which are the same exact size as 2 other patches on my harddrive. The thing that makes me believe this even more is that the patches are linked to both gamer tags, there are 2 patches linked to mine and another 2, same size, linked to his.

I can't be the only one having this issue can I?

you can make a 2nd character for your brother. on your xbox instead of him logging in his own xbl account he can use yours.
every time you dashboard out you do the patch thing

Yeah same thing happened to my friend today when he came over to try the game out while he was doing laundry at my place. He downloaded his profile to my Xbox, started the game up, thought he was going to jump right in and play and it said it was going to install it. 12 minutes later, it started patching it and it said it was gonna take 30 minutes. I told him that was probably going to happen once it started installing the game. So he just said "frak it" and changed to my profile and created a character on my profile.

The problem isn't the fact it does the patch thing everytime, the problem lies in it double downloading the patches, meaning taking up 2x the space.

That's not a fix to the issue it's a workaround, and other people will have it too. I'ts better to bring it to the attention of Trion now and they fix it instead of it causing issues for more people down the road.

I'm doing a test now to see if I'm correct on the double downloads, and if I am it would be nice for this to be fixed.

It is as I thought. For each gamertag on the same console it installs the game, and downloads the patches again. so that means where there would be a total of 3 patch files on my harddrive, there are 6. It's not a problem now as I have the memory but would like to not have to clear my harddrive just to get dlc/future patches.

We have the same issue with our shared household with 8 adults. Each player needs a completely separate download of patches, so yes, it will take a lot of space.

We actually have 6 Xboxes but who is playing on what screen depends on who gets to the big TV first. We're going to try moving the files to a memory stick for portability and see how that works.
