At 748 at the moment, my clan is only a small group of people from outside the game that bought it instead so only 4/6 of us play hardcore, but one of them just lost their harddrive so will be a day or 2 behind.

All 4 are well over 500 so you're more than welcome to join us, just PM me and I can send you the Teamspeak info and get you a clan invite. We also do PvP and have achieved and are still aiming for a lot of the PC first pursuits.

Pretty sure I was around 573 when I got kicked.
Sledge posted before launch that max EGO was 5000, but the highest you need for Pursuits is 4000. If you only do story missions, you'll be lucky to break 100. If you do the main missions you'll hit about 300. Most of the EGO level is easily achieved through completing Pursuits.

What Ego will you get to if you just do the story missions

The best way to increase your ego rating is doing pursuits (achievements). Hit F2 in-game. Enjoy.
