Something like this should NEVER be an expectation, regardless of title genre. Is it expected? Yes, unfortunately, but that shouldn't be the case. It's a shame it's the norm for MMO games, to expect anything but a fully-functioning launch title.
We're....throwing flame on the fire? Really. You just gave point to those we are speaking of. If you "understood" it was going to be this way then why bring up how much money you put down. If you understood you would be willing and understanding to be patient. It's only been 2 days
Trion's work is greatly appreciated, and I'm willing to patiently wait as everything settles. I'm glad to see others feel the same way. I look forward to ark hunting with the devoted few who are still left...

Why? It happens, it's not preventable, you can predict and predict and predict but none of that means anything to what you're actually going to get. Sure you could over-do it on the server and get way more than you think you'll need, and it may be enough or it may not. People may show up to that extent or they don't. And if they don't? What then? You spent all this money and didn't get the numbers near what your predictions projected. It should be an expectation and there is nothing wrong with that.
Didn't mean to double post, sorry...

Yeah, I mean, why doesn't Trion have a huge barn full of people to stress test the servers with before a title launches to make sure the servers can handle thousands upon thousands of people at once. What... F*cking... A*sholes...

Exactly what Aino said. I mean, look at Blizzard; WoW, Starcraft, and Diablo, all games with multiple expacs, and they STILL can't pull off a seamless launch. So why does anyone think Trion should?
Q: So is this a “soft launch”?
A: No, we do everything hard.

But console users aren't avid MMO fans. I have never played PC games, therefore my expectation is something that works. I get they take time to fix bugs, but people are going to complain when their expectation is different from yours. Not everyone is passive and just wait, without updates, and hope things are being corrected. We've grown eager to play this game, correctly, and yet I don't feel i've been able to do it yet, which is disheartening. You can't blame people for being bitter about this, honestly.
