Well there is a menu that shows every weapon type and the players current exp in them if that's what your referring to. I'm maxed exp on Deadeye sniper rifle and still fill up the bar. Haven't come across another sniper rifle yet so I don't know what that really even means.

What the h**l! I had read on here that you couldn't get xp for your weapon after it was maxed... so yesterday I sold off all my maxed out weapons.. damn! This is good news though... I won't have to do that again : )
For that particular weapon if its maxed you don't gain anymore, BUT for the actual weapon tree/type it keeps on going until it hit like lvl 20 I think that's what I saw in the alpha version.

Ok.. lets get this out there (since I'm one that's been talking about the "xp bar" for individual weapons)
In Alpha AND Beta, if the weapon damage bar (xp bar) was FULL, you no longer gained any CLASS XP for that weapon type. If this has been changed or not for launch (and I sure hope it has OFFICIALLY BEEN CHANGED and it's not just a bug), then that's a great thing! However, I'd like to see a Dev comment on it, since in game it tells you that once this occurs, you should NOT be getting more class XP for the weapon.
Nothing against anyone who's posting otherwise, but I think some clarification on the issue is needed ASAP by "competent authority".
Really glad they didn't go through with this stupid mechanic, I could never get anyone to give me one example of how this mechanic would make the game better, but they refused to take it out of alpha.
weird - i used one of my SMG-s (maxed) for over 4 hours and my SMG skill bar didnt progress at all Oo
